It seems to me that many readers’ English reading experience starts with Jane Eyer. I am of no exception. As we refer to the movie Jane Eyer, it is not surprising to find some differences because of its being filmized and retold in a new way, but the spirit of the novel remains—-to be an independent person, both physically and mentally.

Jane Eyer was a born resister, whose parents went off when she was very young, and her aunt,the only relative she had,treated her as badly as a ragtag. Since Jane’s education in Lowwood Orphanage began, she didn’t get what she had been expectingsimply being regarded as a common person, just the same as any other girl around. The suffers from being humiliated and devastated teach Jane to be persevering and prize dignity over anything else.As a reward of revolting the ruthless oppression, Jane got a chance to be a tutor in Thornfield Garden. There she made the acquaintance of lovely Adele and that garden’s owner, Rochester, a man with warm heart despite a cold face outside. The film has finally got a symbolist end: Jane inherited a large number of legacies and finally returned. After finding Rochester’s misfortune brought by his original mad wife, Jane chose to stay with him forever.

I don’t know what others feel, but frankly speaking, I would rather regard the section that Jane began her teaching job in Thornfield as the film’s end—-especially when I heard Jane’s words Never in my life have I been awaken so happily. For one thing, this ideal and brand-new beginning of life was what Jane had been imagining for long as a suffering person; for another, this should be what the audiences with my views hoped her to get. But the professional judgment of producing films reminded me to wait for a totally different result: There must be something wrong coming with the excellence—-perhaps not only should another section be added to enrich the story, but also we may see from the next transition of Jane’s life that Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you would get. 到现在,我看的书越来越多,越来越广泛了。从小图册到童话书,从童话书到儿童小说,再从儿童小说到世界名著,我样样都读过。我始终坚持着这样一个原则:

1。每天读书半小时,理解文章,第二天想忘记也难!

2。积累好词好句,学会欣赏别人的优点,改正自己的缺点!

3。学会拓展自己的知识面,让自己知道的更多,懂得的更多!

over the past two years, as i have moved to break the betrayal of my own silences and to speak from the burnings of my own heart, as i have called for radical departures from the destruction of vietnam, many persons have questioned me about the wisdom of my path. at the heart of their concerns this query has often loomed large and loud: “why are you speaking about the war, dr. king?” “why are you joining the voices of dissent?” “peace and civil rights don’t mix,” they say. “aren’t you hurting the cause of your people,” they ask? and when i hear them, though i often understand the source of their concern, i am nevertheless greatly saddened, for such questions mean that the inquirers have not really known me, my commitment or my calling. indeed, their questions suggest that they do not know the world in which they live.

i come to this magnificent house of worship tonight because my conscience leaves me no other choice. i join you in this meeting because i am in deepest agreement with the aims and work of the organization which has brought us together: clergy and laymen concerned about vietnam. the recent statements of your executive committee are the sentiments of my own heart, and i found myself in full accord when i read its opening lines: “a time comes when silence is betrayal.” and that time has come for us in relation to vietnam.

the president did know that it was republican money, that it was money from the committee for the re-election of the president, which was found in the possession of one of the burglars arrested on june the 17th. what the president did know on the 23rd of june was the prior activities of e. howard hunt, which included his participation in the break-in of daniel ellsberg’s psychiatrist, which included howard hunt’s participation in the dita beard itt affair, which included howard hunt’s fabrication of cables designed to discredit the kennedy administration.

we were further cautioned today that perhaps these proceedings ought to be delayed because certainly there would be new evidence forthcoming from the president of the united states. there has not even been an obfuscated indication that this committee would receive any additional materials from the president. the committee subpoena is outstanding, and if the president wants to supply that material, the committee sits here. the fact is that on yesterday, the american people waited with great anxiety for eight hours, not knowing whether their president would obey an order of the supreme court of the united states.

at this point, i would like to juxtapose a few of the impeachment criteria with some of the actions the president has engaged in. impeachment criteria: james madison, from the virginia ratification convention. ”if the president be connected in any suspicious manner with any person and there be grounds to believe that he will shelter him, he may be impeached.“

today, as people live a better life, they chase for more enjoyment. we can see from the news that when the holiday comes, the principal of the school focuses on education rather than waste time in endless meetings and social activities. teachers’ wages are not high but enough to live comfortably. there are no other things to do except to teach. there are no paper requirements, no titles and no ranks because they don’t need to be judged by those things. almost every teacher is a well-known scholar and master in a particular field. a language teacher may be a writer at the same time. a math teacher may try to overcome a world-class guess. a physics teacher can win invention awards and a music teacher may return from an international music competition again.

in short, in this school, the principal is satisfied, the teachers are happy and the students are joyful. that’s my dream.

but there were problems. one problem is there are some sounds in arabic that just don’t make it through a european voice box without lots of practice. trust me on that one. also, those very sounds tend not to be represented by the characters that are available in european languages.

here’s one of the culprits. this is the letter sheen, and it makes the sound we think of as sh — “sh.“ it’s also the very first letter of the word shalan, which means “something“ just like the the english word “something“ — some undefined, unknown thing.

now in arabic, we can make this definite by adding the definite article “al.“ so this is al-shalan — the unknown thing. and this is a word that appears throughout early mathematics, such as this 10th century derivation of proofs.

the problem for the medieval spanish scholars who were tasked with translating this material is that the letter sheen and the word shalan can’t be rendered into spanish because spanish doesn’t have that sh, that “sh“ sound. so by convention, they created a rule in which they borrowed the ck sound, “ck“ sound, from the classical greek in the form of the letter kai.

today i am an inquisitor. an hyperbole would not be fictional and would not overstate the solemnness that i feel right now. my faith in the constitution is whole; it is complete; it is total. and i am not going to sit here and be an idle spectator to the diminution, the subversion, the destruction, of the constitution.

”who can so properly be the inquisitors for the nation as the representatives of the nation themselves?“ ”the subjects of its jurisdiction are those offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men.“¹ and that’s what we’re talking about. in other words, [the jurisdiction comes] from the abuse or violation of some public trust.

it is wrong, i suggest, it is a misreading of the constitution for any member here to assert that for a member to vote for an article of impeachment means that that member must be convinced that the president should be removed from office. the constitution doesn’t say that. the powers relating to impeachment are an essential check in the hands of the body of the legislature against and upon the encroachments of the executive. the division between the two branches of the legislature, the house and the senate, assigning to the one the right to accuse and to the other the right to judge, the framers of this constitution were very astute. they did not make the accusers and the judgers — and the judges the same person.

we know the nature of impeachment. we’ve been talking about it awhile now. it is chiefly designed for the president and his high ministers to somehow be called into account. it is designed to ”bridle“ the executive if he engages in excesses. ”it is designed as a method of national inquest into the conduct of public men.“² the framers confided in the congress the power if need be, to remove the president in order to strike a delicate balance between a president swollen with power and grown tyrannical, and preservation of the independence of the executive.

From the perspective of optimists,firing a career disaster , will be a reminder of the necessity for an urgentimprovement in their personality or expensive sensing the signal for change,those optimists will strive to achieve personal growth, the growth whichprovides a guarantee to healthier career development in the future. Misfortunesare blessings in disguise and optimism can unlock the cover. Therefore, in theface of misfortunes people should adopt an optimistic attitude.

我刚刚看到葛莱森先生走进来和歹徒搏斗时,就听见有人敲门,便跑出去大声喊:“歹徒,哪里逃?”给刚要进门的妈妈和客人都吓坏了,幸好姥姥给我解了围,要不,客人都不知道发生了什么事。
