学习虽然重要，但服务社会的爱心和责任心更重要。20xx年5月12日，汶川大地震消息传来，正上初二的我，被新闻联播中全国人民的捐款行动深深感动，于是我在我们学校率先发起募捐活动，并带头捐款100元。经过我和同学的共同努力，这次个人行动共募集1120元，钱虽不多，但行动走在了学校前边，受到了班主任和校长表扬，还多次被学校评为三好学生。最重要的是这次活动激发了同学们爱心意识和社会责任，锻炼了我的组织能力和服务社会意识。
在学习之余，我的爱好是写作和军事。在小学和初中阶段，我坚持写日记，这种爱好丰富了生活、锻炼了我的语言表达能力。我从中选出了一些投到《洛阳日报》、《洛阳晚报》《语文天地网》，发表了《我爱打台球》、《T-34的自述》《张非屠虫》，《生命的利器》等。
从小学开始，我就常常购买军事类书籍如：《世界军事》、《兵器知识》、《舰船武器》、《坦克装甲车辆》、《西洋军事史〉》、《大国的兴衰》等，这些书有的很厚，内容较深，但我不但千方百计地买回来(有的是本地没有在网上买的)，而且看得津津有味，每天晚上睡觉前都要看上一阵子，这类书看多了，好多武器装备我都认识，以致看战争题材的影视作品时常指出不符史实的地方，自己还撰写了一篇关于坦克的作文《T—34的自述》发表在〈洛阳日报〉上。学然后知不足。中国的军事装备主要是发动机不行(如飞机)。从这时起我就下定决心将来一定要学工科，提高我们的军事装备水平。
坐落在南方名城广州的华南理工大学是直属教育部的全国重点大学，是我心中的神圣殿堂。“好风凭借力，送我上青云。”期待在不久的将来我能成为华南理工的学生，而华南理工则是我人生大学阶段最有意义的好风!恳请各位领导接受我的申请，实现我的理想。
零点高三点评：这篇自荐信向考官展示的是学生的真诚，爱心，对军事方面的浓厚兴趣，有进一步挖掘的潜力，但是兴趣不是实力，光有兴趣没有实力也是空谈，而在这篇文章中学生大谈中小学学习生活上的爱好，却没有重点向考官展示高中阶段的优异成绩，仅一个全省物理竞赛一等奖，这是不足为据的，让人没办法看出他的优秀，因此像这样平庸，空洞无特色的自荐信是无法在众多竞争者中脱颖而出的。
